A ceramic planter inspired by the Disney Studios animated short "Ferdinand the Bull" (1938). Featuring a lovely young interpretation of Ferdinand with his beloved flowers painted on his body and face, the planter was created by Brayton Laguna Pottery in 1938. Brayton Laguna was the first California company to produce authorized Disney ceramics using their standard colors and glazes in 1938. Previously most Disney ceramics were produced by Borgfeldt. Measuring 3”x4.75” and 5.25” tall, Ferdinand is in good condition with imperfections in the glaze and some wear from age.
